Hopefully you’ve heard of the term, “elevator pitch.” The phrase derives from a highly improbable chance encounter you have stepping onto an elevator with the chief decision-maker of the company with which you’d like to do business. He or she becomes your theoretical captive audience for as much time as it takes for her or him to reach their intended destination.
Those were the good old days. Now, there’s a new way to pitch your self/product/brand/story.
It’s called “The Shark Tank Pitch.”
Until you’re ready for the business prime time and prime-time television, get familiar and comfortable with your elevator pitch. Here’s best-selling business author Daniel Pink’s “6 Elevator Pitches for the 21st Century.”
After writing that first chapter of your book, a less-45-seconds elevator pitch aught to be a breeze.
Send me your pitch here.
