Stimulating. Transformative.
(That's me behind the camera standing behind former baseball great Albert Pujols and his wife, Deidre, at a Christian Family Day event following a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game. In addition to doing work for Christian Family Day, I was the provider of web-design services for the Pujols Family Foundation.)

Buzz Aldrin-A Homecoming
The second man to walk on the moon, former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, received his advanced fighter-pilot training at Bryan Air Force Base during the Korean War. His assignment there, in 1952, lasted only three months. More than 65 years later, Aldrin returned to share his "RELLIS Recollections" with me for my book of the same name.

Brazos Valley Prayer Breakfast
In the spring of 2023, I met longtime Bryan dermatologist Dr. Terry Jones. After told me about his desire to establish a meaningful prayer breakfast for the Brazos Valley region of Central Texas, I agreed to help him with the task. This video captures the highlights of what turned out to be a remarkable and blessed occasion attended by more than 600 people at the Legends Event Center in Bryan's Midtown Park.

The Women's Center of Dallas
This is the first video project I shot on my own. It was released at a gala event for the Women's Center of Dallas in the fall of 1995. At evening's end, a woman approached the organization's founder and told her she was impressed with what she had learned from the video. Later, that same person made a $25,000 contribution to the cause, not a bad start to my 20-year career as a video storyteller.

Passion for Fashion
When I first started my video production company, Turn-Key VideoWorks, I sought to use the medium to tell stories anywhere I could find them. Through a chance encounter, I met Houston fashion designer Selven O'Keefe Jarmon, and inspired by an exhibit on his work at The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, I turned my camera lens in his direction.

In the Pujols Kitchen
in my role as the provider of web services for the Pujols Family Foundation, I got to know well baseball great Albert Pujols and his wife, Deidre. So well, in fact, that I spent time in their St. Louis-area home, where Dee Dee had a great passion for cooking. In 2009, I put together these two videos to help her promote that passion.

Grant Corner Inn
In the early 200os, I was inspired to put together a pilot for a television series on high-end bed-and-breakfast inns...from the innkeeper's perspective. The working title for the series was "Travel Inn Style." This segment features the Grant Corner Inn in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is hosted by the extremely talented Beth Rengel, a former Tulsa television news anchor and runner-up in the Miss America pageant.

Wally Moon Day
After publication of my book for baseball great Wally Moon, I helped Wally put together a promotional tour of sorts. That involved appearances in both St. Louis and Los Angeles, where Wally had played during his career. In addition, Wally did several outings in and around the campus of Texas A&M University, where Wally had gone to school. In fact, the Aggie baseball team celebrated "Wally Moon Day" at one of its games during the 2011 season.

Whistler Bobsled
Given that my wife has flown into space four times, I knew she has an interest in "extreme experiences." Thus, it was no surprise when she climbed into a bobsled--with me behind her--at the Whistler Sliding Center, built for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. Here's the video of our run. And yes Nancy confirmed, we hit liftoff-like g-forces during the 80-mile-an-hour portion of our "slide."

The HP POD
Throughout my 20 years doing video production work, most of the stories I told were for corporate clients, like this video showcasing the HP POD. The video was commissioned by HP partner AMD, and was just one of nearly 20 video vignettes contained on an interactive DVD promoting the two companies partnership.

The Shining Moment
Villanova alum--and good friend--Tom Sanzone got Nancy and me nearly court-side tickets to the 2016 NCAA Final Four basketball tournament in our hometown of Houston. Villanova reached the national championship game against North Carolina, and the final moments of that contest, which I thought to preserve with my cell phone camera, made Final Four history. The screaming woman in the video is Tom's wife, Brenda.

The Hereafter
Descending through the clouds of a Southwest Airlines flight to Houston before Christmas in 2019, the view from my window seat was more than breathtaking. Hurriedly, I recorded the experience with my cell-phone camera. Later, I added a music bed from the artist Apex Twin, and the finished product spoke to me in an unexpectedly spiritual way. What does the video say to you?
