Belief that God is primarily found in the brightness of the blessings He bestows VS Belief that God is primarily found in the darkness of the sufferings He allows.

Believes life should be good now with bad at the end VS Belief that life in this fallen world is tough now with good at the end.

Believes we climb up a ladder to God (John 10:1-2) VS Belief that we sink, collapse or fall down into God.  Rom 6:3-5.

Believes that we live for self before we die VS Belief that we die to self in order to live.   2 Cor 5:14-15.

Believes that through faith we can avoid suffering VS Belief that by faith we can go through suffering.  Rom 8:17b.
Believes that God relates to humanity thru a system of reward and punishment (Law) VS Belief that God relates to humanity thru the cross and the resurrection (Gospel).  John 9:1-3.

Believes we get from God what we deserve (Law) VS Belief that we get things from God and He also allows things to happen to us that we don’t deserve (grace).

Believes God’s love is conditional VS Belief that God’s love is unconditional.  Matt 5:43-47.

Believes God is more like a cop or prosecutor VS Belief that God is more like a defense lawyer.  1 John 2:1-2.

Believes God’s throne is a throne of judgment VS Belief that God’s throne is a throne of grace.  Heb 4:16.

Believes God’s economy is a meritocracy VS Belief that God’s economy is grace.

Believes God’s justice is retributive VS Belief that God’s justice is restorative.  The cross is the judgment of God.  By a person’s acceptance or rejection of the cross, he is either justified or lost.  Ps 9:16; John 12:31, 47-48.

Believes in eye for eye VS Belief in turning the other cheek and absorbing the blows.  Matt 5:38-42.

Belief that evil is overcome by force VS Belief that evil is overcome by love.  Rom 12:9-21.

Believes God is a killer VS Belief that God is a dier.  Luke 9:52-56.
